Lori Stevenson joined Compass Financial Partners in 2007 and is the team’s Managing Director, Retirement Operations. She brings extensive operational, regulatory compliance and leadership experience to the team. Lori serves as a relationship manager in supporting the firm’s institutional clients, specializing in the design, implementation and administration of corporate retirement plans. Lori leads a team of Compass service colleagues with the goal of driving operational excellence. She has been instrumental in resolving complex operational issues and differentiating the firm's benefits approach. Lori was appointed at a national level to MMA’s Strategic Execution Team focused on driving key operational and client service initiatives for national alignment to enhance the overall operation, strategy and value of MMA Retirement Services.
Lori has attained the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst designation – one of approximately 400 professionals nationally who hold the AIFA®*. In addition, she carries several securities registrations with MMA Securities (Series 4, 6, 7, 24, 53 and 66) and has achieved the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®) designation through the College of Financial Planning and the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) designation through the National Association of Plan Advisors. Lori is a member of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) and the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and has been named to the NAPA Top Women of Excellence list.
Prior to joining Compass Financial Partners, she served as a Compliance Analyst with Jefferson Pilot Securities Corporation and Windward Securities Corporation. Originally from Maine, Lori is a 1995 cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. An avid runner, she found great reward in sharing her passion by volunteering as a Coach for four seasons with the Greensboro Running Club's Women's Running School as well as a Pace Guide Leader for three years as part of RunTheBoro and has earned the RRCA coaching certification. Lori has completed 13 marathons including qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon in 2017 & 2019. She is currently a certified volunteer with the Love on a Leash program. Lori enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her husband Michael and labrador retriever Olive.
