Named to the 2017 Financial Times 401 Top Retirement Plan Advisers

A Detailed Plan Makes

Every Dream Possible

Greensboro, NC:  October 2017 — Compass Financial Partners in Greensboro, North Carolina is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Kathleen Kelly has been named to the 2017 edition of the Financial Times 401 Top Retirement Plan Advisers. The list recognizes the top financial advisers who specialize in serving defined contribution (DC) retirement plans.

This is the third annual FT 401 list, produced independently by the Financial Times in collaboration with Ignites Research, FT’s sister company, and their partner Broadridge Financial Solutions.

Financial advisers from across the U.S. applied for consideration. Applicants were required to advise on at least $50m in DC plan assets and have at least 20 percent of their client assets in DC plans. The applicants were then graded on seven criteria: DC assets under management; growth rate in DC plan business; specialization in the DC business; years of experience advising DC plans; participation rate in DC plans advised; industry certifications; and compliance record.

Once again, the final FT 401 represents a cohort of elite advisers; the “average” adviser in this year’s FT 401 has 19 years of experience advising DC plans and manages $1.6 billion in DC plan assets. The FT 401 advisers hail from 38 states and Washington D.C.; because each adviser takes a different approach to their practices the FT 401 list is unranked and provided alphabetically by state.
